DPS has always been a student centric organization. The well being and all round development of its students has been its primary objective. Our commitment has been to attend to the students' psychological, social and developmental needs. Every student is unique and we believe in empowering them to manage life's challenges and to achieve their personal goals. Today pressures being borne by students at the elementary and secondary school level are generating a wide range of academic, emotional, and social problems that would require more support for students. In the face of these societal changes within the average student’s life the Counseling Centre at DPS has developed several modules which would focus on the different issues and age groups, ranging from the tiny tots of Primary to our teenagers who are all set to face the world outside.
The Centre provides Emotional and Behavioral counseling and has a Learning lab to help students who need special guidance. It conducts student workshops and Awareness campaigns and spearheads several community service drives. To cater to the needs of the students in XIth & XIIth the centre provides career counseling and sets up college fairs.
Bringing teacher enhancement within its sphere the counseling centre organizes workshops, talks and interactive sessions to help teachers enhance their skills and knowledge.
